STUDENTS can access careers advice during the lockdown with new online guidance sessions.

Get Career Confident, which is managed by Elev8Careers and the Sussex Learning Network, is offering video appointments with a careers adviser to pupils aged between 14 and 19 at its partner schools.

Miranda Galvin, careers consultant and director at Elev8Careers said: “It’s an unsettling time for students –with home schooling, missing friends, exams replaced by ‘calculated’ grades and many young people are understandably anxious about their next steps.

“Social distancing means face-to-face guidance is no longer possible, so we’ve taken our support online to help pupils stay on track with their career plans.”
