A severe weather warning has been issued across Sussex.
The Met Office has predicted heavy showers will merge this evening with up to 25 millimetres of rain in places. Many areas will have rainfall of 10 to 15 millimetres.
Members of the public have been advised to take extra care and watch out for flood warnings issued by the Environment Agency.

The Highways Agency has warned that spray and surface water are likely to be a hazard to road users, with roads such as the M25, the M4 and the M5 in the South West all affected.
By the end of the night the rain will have reached northern parts of England, though it should not be as heavy by then. However late in the night further rain will reach the extreme South East.
