INTRUDERS were arrested for breaking into a castle.
Police were called to Amberley Castle in the early hours on Friday after two people were spotted trying to get in to the 12th century fortress.
Officers conducted an area search and found the two suspects on the roof.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service assisted in getting the pair down from the Grade I listed building.
A 16-year-old boy and a 28-year-old man from Amberley were arrested on suspicion of burglary with intent to steal and criminal damage.
They have both been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
