THREE children were arrested after a vicious attack left two men with broken ribs.

The men were part of a group of four who were set upon by a group of thugs as they walked through Victoria Park in Worthing on Monday night.

The 29 and 23-year-old were with a 19-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy when they were approached by another group at about 10pm.

The 23-year-old had a cigarette snatched from him before all four of them were assaulted.

Both men suffered concussions and broken ribs during the violent incident.

Detective Constable Katie Clack said; “We arrested two girls aged 15 and 14, and a boy aged 15, on suspicion of robbery and after being interviewed they have been released under investigation.
