Crook caught swiping bottles of Champagne from Waitrose in Burgess Hill
A CROOK with a taste for the finer things in life has been caught trying to snatch bottles of champagne from a supermarket.
Police nabbed the bubbly smuggler as she attempted to steal several bottles of Laurent Perrier from Waitrose in Burgess Hill.
“Not only that, but she had stolen three bottles of Bollinger the day before,” an astounded Mid Sussex Prevention Inspector Darren Taylor revealed in a social media post.
“(Our) team attended and dealt with her for theft.
“Off to Magistrate’s court she goes.”
