A PEOPLE-POWERED delivery app has launched early as a “lockdown lifesaver” for people in need.
Swishd allows people to have items delivered quickly by handing their parcels to commuters who usually pass the package’s destination.
Now the app has launched early in Brighton, allowing users to request or offer help.
Founder Jat Wasu hopes the app will encourage people to pick up a few extra items at the supermarket for neighbours in need.
“We have been building the Swishd app since 2019 with the plan to launch to help people get a little help when they need it,” he said.
“Obviously we’re now launching our new app in a time where many people want to offer help or are in need to get essential products.
“We’re not affiliated with any brands, retailers or product types, so communities can ask for any type of help. Our people-powered delivery app is launching early to connect local communities.”
Swishd is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
