A new GP service allows deaf patients in Sussex to call their practice with a qualified sign language interpreter
A NEW GP service for deaf people in Sussex is now online.
Surgeries now support the use of medical app Signlive which connects deaf patients with qualified sign language interpreters before connecting to their doctor.
This means deaf patients are now able to call their practice and book a telephone appointment just as a hearing person can.
The app is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. All calls to GP practices are free.
