COASTAL visitors are being urged to use beaches responsibly while there are no lifeguards on duty.

Seaford Town Council is reminding the public there are no lifeguards patrolling Seaford beach, on the advice from their governing body, Surf Lifesaving GB, to keep lifeguards safe during the pandemic.

Swimming in the sea is now allowed as daily exercise along with other water sports.

But it is recommended only strong swimmers enter the water in ideal conditions, and people should consider if their activity could put themselves or others, including first responders, at risk.
