URGENT dental care hubs have been set up for patients who require serious treatment.
Face-to-face appointments for non-urgent treatment has stopped in line with social distancing guidelines, but patients can still call contact their dentist if they require medical help for a telephone consultation.
Healthwatch Brighton and Hove said dentists can still prescribe medications such as pain relief and antibiotics for suspected infections and can refer patients to one of the new urgent care hubs in severe cases.
Patients can still be referred for urgent treatment if they have symptoms of coronavirus or are shielding, and support is available for travel to the sites, with some based outside Brighton.
