EMERGENCY services were called to cliffs over reports of a body being found.
Coastguard teams were seen at the top of Beachy Head yesterday while RNLI Lifeboat volunteers were called to the foot of the cliffs.
There were unconfirmed reports that a body was found that may have washed up there.
Police were contacted about the incident.
Meanwhile RNLI Lifeboat volunteers were also seen at Peacehaven helping a paraglider who had become stranded at the foot of the cliffs as the tide was coming in.
The man was taken to safety by the crew.
Support for those who need help is available from Samaritans by calling 116 123.
