A STRANDED paraglider had to be rescued after he landed on a beach and became trapped by the incoming tide.
Newhaven Coastguard were called to attend to the paraglider on a small section of beach under the cliffs at Rushy Hill, Peacehaven, on Monday afternoon just before 1pm.
The paraglider had run out of wind and had made the landing, but could not walk to safety from the beach.
A lifeboat was sent to recover the paraglider and he was taken back to Newhaven.
