TIME is running out for charities that could benefit from £576,000 to help victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence.
On May 2, the Government announced a package of £76 million extra funding to support victims and survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, vulnerable children and their families during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Lockdown has seen them exposed to greater risk.
And £20 million of this money will be distributed by Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) across England and Wales.
PCC Katy Bourne has been allocated £576,000 for organisations in Sussex. She said the work these groups do is even more vital “now the risk to so many has been heightened by the social distancing restrictions”.
Groups have until 5pm on Monday to bid. For more visit https://www.sussex-pcc.gov.uk/coronavirus-information/
