AN air ambulance was scrambled to deal with a medical incident.
The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance was called to the A259 Road Bridge in Shoreham yesterday evening to help emergency services at the scene, close to the recreation ground.
The road was closed while emergency services handled the incident, and one person was transported to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in an air ambulance.
Police and ambulances were also in attendance but the nature of the incident has not yet been announced.
Sussex Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service have been contacted for statements.
