Residents in Norfolk Square, Brighton, reported being woken up at 4am yesterday.
One said: βA woman was screaming her head off at the police and accusing them of being racist.
βIt was disturbing, and I saw some lights going on around the square. All four entrances were closed off and the police bundled a woman into the back of a police van.β
Police say a 47-year-old woman was arrested in Norfolk Square on suspicion of drunk and disorderly behaviour and racist harassment.
She remained in custody as The Argus went to print.
