THERE has been one further death of a coronavirus patient at a Sussex hospital trust site.
It takes the total number to 586. This figure does not include people who have died outside hospital.
The death was reported at Sussex Community Foundation Trust, where the toll is now 15. No more deaths were confirmed by Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust, where the figure is 133, or at sites run by the Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, which has had 247 deaths.
The figures for Western Sussex Hospitals Foundation Trust (109) East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (81) and Sussex Community Foundation Trust (15) remained the same.
East Sussex cases rose from 721 to 723 and the Brighton and Hove figure by five to 449. The number in West Sussex remains at 1,331.
Nationally, there have been 279,856 positive coronavirus tests with 39,728 deaths, an increase of 324 in the last 24 hours.
