PEOPLE were trapped inside a chicken shop after a car drove through the window.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue was called to help those inside Roosters Piri Piri in Western Road, Brighton, after a car careered into the shopfront at about 2.15pm this afternoon.
A spokeswoman for the service said those inside were unable to leave through the door and its crew were called to ensure the shop’s structure was safe.

The spokeswoman said there has been no reported injuries.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "A car that appears to have suffered a handbrake failure rolled into another parked vehicle pushing it into the front of a shop in Western Road, Brighton.
"Emergency services were called to the scene at 2.16pm. No injuries have been reported."
