FASHION is always changing and redefining, especially in Brighton.
As well as plenty of independent tailors working on new designs, the North Laine and the Lanes are filled with vintage clothes shops offering the best and worst of 20th-century fashion.
And, of course, mod culture is still alive and well in the city thanks to shops such as Jump The Gun and Bone Clothing.
But the styles on display in these old Argus pictures from The Keep archive in Falmer may be a little outdated for modern tastes.
Unfortunately we do not know much about the stories behind these pictures.
It is clear fashion shows experienced a surge in popularity in Brighton during the Fifties.
But we do not know who organised the shows, who the models were, or where they took place.
So once again we are encouraging readers to get in touch if they know anything about the stories behind these photos.
If you think you have the answer, email samuel.brooke@theargus.co.uk.
The Keep is closed until further notice and unable to take orders for photos. Visit thekeep.info for more information.
