SEVEN people have been charged after a string of 28 burglaries across Hampshire, Surrey and Thames Valley at the end of last year.

The crew, from Coventry and Ruislip, were being investigated by the Operation Hawk team, based at Basingstoke's Police Investigation Centre, in a long-running investigation known as Operation Mode.

Police say that the septet were involved in a number of dwelling burglaries between August 27 and December 18, 2019.

The five charged with conspiracy to commit dwelling burglary and conspiracy to conceal/disguise/transfer/remove criminal property are (of Woodside Park, Coventry unless otherwise stated):

  • Patrick Quilligan, 35
  • Christopher Qulligan, 30
  • James Quilligan, 26
  • Jonathan Qulligan, 21
  • Roisin Lucas, 20, of Woodville Gardens, Ruislip

Additionally, two other men have been charged with conspiracy to conceal/disguise/transfer/remove criminal property: Patrick Quilligan, 57, of Woodside Park, Coventry and Simon Quilligan, 25, from Darlings Cat Road, Coventry.

The crew will appear at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on August 13.

Senior Investigating Officer Detective Sergeant Chris Whittington said it is a timely reminder to the public to review their home security. He said: “Despite more people currently working from home, always remember to stay vigilant and consider the following crime prevention advice.”
