TWO men leapt into someone else’s boat and sped away before smashing the vessel into a pier.
They boarded the six-foot inflatable boat moored at Bosham Quay on May 30.
The pair drove off and crashed into the pier nearby, causing damage to the boat.
When they came ashore the owner of the boat attempted to confront them about their actions, but it is alleged they became verbally aggressive before riding away from the scene on bikes.
Police have now released images of two men who they want to talk to.
The force said it believes the pair might be able to help with their investigation into the incident.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened or is able to identify the men pictured to come forward.
“Please report information online or by calling 101, quoting serial 1329 of 30/05.”
