AN ARREST has been made after a woman was approached by a man in a BMW.
The woman was walking along the A259 between Southbourne and Bosham around 2.30pm last Thursday when the car pulled up to her.
The driver asked if she would like a lift, but the woman declined.
The man then pulled the car over, climbed out and approached the woman, asking the same question.
She again declined, and was able to walk away unharmed.
Sussex Police are now urging anyone who has experienced similar behaviour to report it to the force.
Officers are also keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or have dash cam footage of it.
A 34-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested by officers in Hampshire on Thursday morning.
He was arrested on suspicion of harassment and remains in police custody while enquiries are ongoing.
