A POLICE phone line has stopped working after the force experienced problems with the service.
The 101 number used to report non-emergency incidents and enquiries is currently down.
Sussex Police have provided an alternative number for people wanting to report incidents, adding that people could also report these online.
A spokesman said: "We have been made aware of a problem nationally for people calling 101.
"Instead please report crimes to us online at http://orlo.uk/hHRVQ or call 01273 470101 for non-emergencies."
Sussex Police has now confirmed that the service has been restored.
