SHOPS have reopened their doors with new art work to welcome back customers.

Redevco, owner of Hanningtons Lane in Brighton, commissioned an art installation to mark the area reopening and has supplied hand sanitiser throughout the lane to help shoppers stay safe.

Sarah Lulham, asset manager at Redevco, said: “Hanningtons Lane is already known for its Alice and circus murals and this time we have commissioned artists from our new pop-up gallery BouSham to paint Brazilian-inspired waves along the lane.

“The colourful waves are inspired by pavement patterns found at Ipanema and Copacabana beaches and are accompanied by

butterflies and birds which symbolise freedom from lockdown.

“The next phase of re-opening in July should see The Flint House, Brass Monkey and 17 Grams – formerly The Plant Room in Brighton Square – also open their doors. Our new vegan fast food restaurant Vurger is also opening for take away very soon.”
