IT IS great to see that Brighton’s Palace Pier will soon be back in business and there is still plenty of summer left for thousands of visitors to enjoy it.
I must admit that while reading the article on the opening of Palace Pier in The Argus, my mind went back to the West Pier.
Both my grandads, who were proud Brightonians, would sometimes tell me that we had the two best piers in the world.
At least now we still have one pier, which, of course, is the finest in the world.
Now we have the i360 instead of a new West Pier. The i360 certainly has critics, but I would like to think that when it opens, people will flock to the attraction in the thousands.
