NO further coronavirus deaths have been reported in Sussex.
The latest death recorded in the county was on June 21 in the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust. The trust’s total number of deaths since the beginning of the outbreak is 55.
East Sussex Healthcare NHS trust has recorded 86, Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust has recorded 17, and Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has recorded 112.
The highest number of deaths have been recorded at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, which has recorded 255. The death toll at hospitals in Sussex now stands at 614. Nationally, official statistics from the Department of Health and Social Care showed that there were 149 new deaths recorded as of 9am on Thursday.
It means a total of 43,230 people have died from the virus since the crisis started earlier this year. In total, 307,980 official confirmed cases of the disease have been recorded, which is an increase of 1,118 from the day before. There have now been 489 confirmed cases in Brighton and Hove, one more than yesterday. There have been 1,374 in West Sussex, one more than the previous day, and 777 in East Sussex, the same as the day before.
