POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in the leg at a railway station.
The railway station at Shoreham was closed last night into the early hours of this morning while British Transport Police and ambulance services attended to the incident.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "At just after 11.30pm last night, BTP officers were called to a report of a man with a stab wound to his lower leg at Shoreham-by-Sea Station.
"The injury is currently not believed to be life threatening.
"Police are asking that anyone who was in or around Shoreham-by-Sea station last night and saw anything suspicious, or have any information about the incident to please get in touch."
Anyone who witnessed the incident or with information should contact BTP by sending a text to 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40 - quoting reference 534 of 26/06/2020.
