AN MP is calling on residents to have their say on changes which could make life better after lockdown.

Caroline Lucas is the co-chairwoman of a new initiative called Reset. The national survey will allow the public to share their views on issues which the pandemic has drawn attention to, from how key workers are valued to access to green spaces and secure housing.

Reset is an initiative of the parliamentary group on the Green New Deal, whose members are drawn from parties across the political spectrum.

The Green MP for Brighton Pavilion said: “If the past four months have shown us anything, it’s that real change can happen fast where there is a shared understanding of urgency and a common will.

“We know this is the last decade for avoiding the worst of climate catastrophe, which means the decisions we take now have more significance than any that have been taken for generations.

“It’s so important we work with people to learn from what has happened and shape our collective future and I really want people in Brighton to be part of that conversation.”

The results of the survey will help form a package of policy measures which will be presented to parliament in the autumn.
