A BUSY road is blocked after a crash involving several cars.
The collision happened on the A23 London Road near Patcham shortly before 9am.
A traffic report stated: “The road is partially blocked and there is queueing traffic due to an accident involving several vehicles on the A23 London Road southbound between the A23 (Pyecombe) and the A27.
“There are delays of five minutes in London Road southbound with an average speed of 15 mph.”
Sussex Police say two lanes have now been reopened.
A spokesman for the force said: "Three cars were reported to have collided on the southbound A23 just north of the Patcham interchange at 8.55am.
"There were no reported injuries.
"The southbound middle and outside lanes were open again 20 minutes later."
By 11pm, the AA reported that traffic in the area was "coping well".
This was not the only incident causing delays on the A23 this morning.
Shortly before 9am the AA reported that a stalled car on the A23 in Patcham had also partially blocked the road further south, causing delays.
This has now been cleared.
