THREE men broke into a garden room and demanded cash in a late night attack.
One of the raiders brandished a knife during the incident at The Strand in Goring at 11.50pm on June 19.
Police were called in after the men fled, and no items were reported stolen.
So Police Dog Sparky was brought in to help track them down, and he helped catch one of the men in a nearby street.
Officers also used a drone to help them hunt the suspects, and used heat-seeking cameras to find the two remaining men cowering in a neighbouring garden.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Steve Smethurst, said: “Our officers swiftly responded to this incident and located all three suspects in the immediate area.
“This was made possible with the help of a specially trained police dog, a police drone using thermal imaging technology and the intelligence of response officers on foot, demonstrating excellent teamwork.”
All three suspects were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
A 16-year-old boy from Worthing was released on conditional bail until July 13.
Meanwhile a 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, both of no fixed address, were released on conditional bail until July 11, pending further enquiries.
