TOMORROW has been jokingly referred to as the nation’s independence day as the vast majority of lockdown restrictions are lifted.
But what will exactly will be allowed to open?
The Argus has produced this handy list so readers know where they can and cannot go from tomorrow.
The following will be allowed to open:
- Restaurants, cafes and workplace canteens
- Bars
- Pubs
- Places of worship
- Hotels, hostels, and holiday apartments
- Libraries
- Community centres
- Cinemas
- Bingo halls
- Theatres and concert halls – but not for live performances
- Museums and galleries
- Hair salons and barbers
- Outdoor playgrounds and outdoor gyms
- Funfairs, theme parks and adventure parks
- Amusement arcades
- Outdoor skating rinks
- Other indoor leisure centres or facilities
- Social clubs
- Model villages
- Indoor attractions at aquariums, zoos, safari parks, farms, and wildlife centres.
But a number of businesses will remain closed until further notice:
- Indoor gyms
- Nightclubs
- Casinos
- Bowling alleys and indoor skating rinks
- Spas
- Swimming pools and water parks
- Nail bars and beauty salons
- Indoor fitness and dancing studios
- Exhibition or conference centres
- Massage or tattoo parlours
- Indoor play areas
But many of the restrictions could be brought in again in certain areas if cases rise and local lockdowns are brought in.
