FOOTAGE shows armed police aiming weapons at a man who appears to then be detained.
The officers swooped on Portland Road in Hove at 11.30am today after reports a man had been injured.
He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
In the dramatic video, officers can be seen pointing weapons at a man who at first has his hands up, then seems to touch the floor.
Officers appear to have both firearms and tasers ready and trained on him.
So far the police have not confirmed whether any arrests were made in connection with the incident.
In a statement the force said: "We were called at 11.30am on Saturday to an address in Portland Road, Hove after a 40-year-old man living there sustained a head injury.

"He is being treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, and his condition is described as non life-threatening.
"An investigation is underway to establish the cause of the man's injury and the full circumstances. There have been no arrests at this stage."
