A SINGER and comedian will be among the judges in an online talent show.

B Starz Brighton wants youngsters to enter the competition, and Lorraine Bowen from Britain’s Got Talent will be among those judging.

The theatre school has been closed since lockdown, and says its annual talent show was cancelled.

Instead they are hosting the online show and raising money for the Friends of Brighton and Hove Hospitals charity.

Jasmine Jeffery from B Starz said children can enter for £5 by donating online.

She said: “Our pupils have missed out on their end of term show and performing at the local festival Paddle Round The Pier so we wanted to do something to lift spirits and help our community.

“The wonderful Lorraine Bowen is one of our guest judges and she will be awarding two Golden Buzzer awards to the most creative act and the most promising performer.

“The competition is open to all local children who will all receive a certificate and valuable feedback from our professional judges along with some fun prizes.”

Children can enter with a song, dance, comedy act, or monologue that lasts for two minutes, and describes their experience of lockdown or home schooling.

The event takes place on Saturday, July 11.
