I'm a singer and I read your comments about shaving the pubic area. I would like to have a "nude" look but I really do not want to shave.
So my fiance suggests I get myself one of those Brazilian waxes. What does this involve? And are there any medical side-effects?
Brazilian waxing has become extraordinarily common in Sussex. It's a process in which the pubic hair is removed by applying wax strips - and then ripping them off. Naturally, this hurts!
There are various types of "Brazilian", so before having one you should make certain you know precisely what the beauty salon is proposing to do. Commonly, all the hair is removed from an area extending from your lower tummy right through to your bottom. Some practitioners leave a small line of pubic hair just above the vulva.
I've recently been consulted by three women who got mildly infected hair follicles after having the waxing done, but otherwise there don't seem to be any significant side-effects.
