KATIE Price told a bankruptcy hearing she had “lost everything” after intruders “destroyed” her Sussex mansion earlier this month.

The 42-year-old has appeared at a hearing at the insolvency and companies court at the Rolls Building in London via video call.

But the court heard the former glamour model has recently had average monthly earnings of £45,000.

Katie was then asked about her assets, listing two horses, a VW Beetle and her Sussex home - thought to be worth more than £1.3 million.

She is currently living elsewhere, saying she hates the “mucky mansion” in Horsham and is hoping to sell it after renovating the property.

The Argus:

But these plans were derailed earlier this month when intruders ransacked the house, leaving the ground floor flooded and her personal items strewn across the floor.

Katie said: “I haven’t got anything, I haven’t got absolutely anything left, everything has been stolen off me.”

She said she had been burgled and could not claim any insurance, adding: “I’ve lost everything.”

The mum-of-five was once worth more than £40 million, but has encountered money troubles in recent years.

At a hearing in October 2018, she was given time to negotiate a deal with the taxman over her finances and her proposal for an Individual Voluntary Agreement (IVA) was accepted. An IVA is a formal agreement which lets people with debt repay their creditors at an affordable rate in a bid to avoid bankruptcy.

But the Brighton-born TV personality was declared bankrupt last November after the High Court found she had failed to stick to a plan to repay her debts, estimated to be £800,000.

One of her representatives told the court that over the last three years he had been observing the “mental abuse” Price had been on the receiving end of.

She told the hearing she had a “bad breakdown” last year and that she was an inpatient at the Priory for five weeks.

Price said she had had suicidal thoughts, but added: “I am here, I am sorting myself out.”

Judge Catherine Burton adjourned the case for a further hearing on October 27.
