AN ELDERLY man hit with a piece of wood and robbed by two men as he walked through a town.
The victim, aged 80 was in East Court in East Grinstead at 5pm on Thursday.
He was approached by two men then struck with a piece of wood during the robbery.
His wallet was stolen, and he was taken to the East Surrey Hospital in Redhill.
Anyone who may have seen the attack or seen men acting suspiciously in the area is asked to contact Sussex Police online or on 101 and quote 1078 of 23/07.
