A PENSIONER suffered life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a motorbike.
The 81-year-old had to be airlifted to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton after the crash yesterday afternoon in Mayfield.
At 4.50pm a red Ducati motorcycle collided with the man, pushing a pedal cycle on the A267 in the village.
The pensioner from Alfriston remains in hospital, while a 53-year-old rider was taken to Pembury Hospital with a serious foot injury.
Any witnesses, or anyone saw the motorcyclist or pedestrian in the area beforehand – particularly anyone with dash cam footage – are asked to email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting Operation Denstone.
