A six-year-old conservationist has had her anti-littering posters featured on the beach.
Freya Gofton’s design is emblazoned on deck chair containers on Brighton seafront as part of a Brighton Dolphin Project campaign.
Her poster features a dolphin swimming next to rubbish and reads: “We live here too. Please pick up your litter.”
Her father and project team member Lloyd Gofton hopes the posters will resonate with beachgoers.
“I asked her to draw something that explained the impact of litter on marine wildlife and that’s what she came up with,” he said.
“She loves the thought that her drawing is helping in some way.
“She’s a budding Brighton Dolphin Project volunteer and desperate to stop the litter problem on the beach.”
Freya’s posters, right, are featured alongside “Dolphin research zone” signs encouraging beachgoers to report any sightings to the project.
Lloyd said all information from people will aid research into Sussex’s dolphins.
The advertising space was donated to the project by Swat Marketing.
Anyone who spots a dolphin in Brighton should send information, pictures, and video to the Brighton Dolphin Project Facebook page or visit brightondolphinproject.org.
