A THIEF stole thousands of pounds from a man at a music festival.

Abisola Idowu-Akinbami attended the Love Supreme Festival at Glynde last year. She took £3,610 from Andrew Snell, Brighton Magistrates’ Court heard.

Idowu-Akinbami appeared in court where she admitted the theft charge.

The 23-year-old, of Normanhurst Avenue, Bexleyheath, was ordered to do 40 hours of unpaid work and to pay a £90 surcharge and £85 costs.

Love Supreme is usually held over the first weekend in July at Glynde Place in Sussex, but this year was cancelled until next summer because of coronavirus.

It is considered one of the top jazz festivals in Europe and this year was supposed to host The Isley Brothers, Sister Sledge, and TLC as headliners.
