AN ABUSER who harassed a woman for months tried to get his victim to drop charges.
Michael Davies asked his father to speak with his ex-partner in Goring in a bid to get a criminal case dropped, a court heard.
He had bombarded the woman with calls and emails and confronted her at a car park between March and August last year. But the woman continued her action, and magistrate Shirley Vening found Davies guilty of harassment.
The 31-year-old was found guilty at Worthing Magistrates’ Court.
The magistrate sentenced him to 120 hours of unpaid work in the community and ordered Davies to pay £150 in compensation to his victim.
Davies, of The Boulevard, Goring, was put under a restraining order until 2021. He must also pay a £90 surcharge and £620 in court costs.
