SEVEN people have died with coronavirus in the UK in the lowest daily rise for more than two months.
Figures published on Monday recorded the fewest deaths since March 12.
However, there is often a post-weekend reporting lag on Mondays and 61 deaths were recorded on Saturday.
Now, 45,759 people are reported to have died with Covid-19 in the UK.
Meanwhile, the number of cases continues to grow, with 685 new infections bringing the national total to 300,111.
There were 11 new cases in Brighton and Hove, bringing the total to 805. In West Sussex, the total also rose by 11 to 2,787 and in East Sussex, the number rose by five to 1,600
The last recorded death from coronavirus in Sussex was on July 16.
In Brighton, the NHS has reported 148 deaths in hospital. The total across the East Sussex NHS Trust, which covers the Conquest Hospital in Hastings and the Eastbourne District General Hospital, stands at 99.
Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust, which covers Crawley, has recorded 260 coronavirus deaths, there have been 18 at the Sussex Community NHS Trust and 113 across the Western Sussex NHS Trust.
