I absolutely agree with Green MEP Caroline Lucas that a "rational, evidence-based policy for halting the spread of bovine TB" is required. Why isn't consideration being given to the suggestion that mass food production, in unwholesome conditions, is the problem?
Are we to continue culling poultry, cattle, sheep and badgers in some ridiculous attempt to mitigate mankind's irresponsibility?
We need to insist on improved standards, pay farmers the right money for quality produce and stop dancing to the tune of the supermarkets.
