A WOMAN was rescued from a flat fire through an upstairs window in a suspected arson attack.
Firefighters were called to the incident in Priestley Way, Bognor, last night just before 12.30am.
Crews from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service rescued a 46-year-old woman from the blaze in her first-floor flat through an upstairs window using a ladder, and she was taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
No further injuries have been reported.
Sussex Police attended the scene and arrested two 32-year-old men on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
Both men have been taken into custody for questioning.
Officers are not currently seeking anyone else in connection with this incident and the victim and suspects are believed to be known to each other.
