SUN-worshippers came out to bask under blue skies again yesterday as the south coast enjoyed more fine weather.
Temperatures were a more comfortable 22C in Brighton, after a heatwave sent the mercury up to 28C on Friday.
The last day of July was the third hottest day ever recorded in the UK, with temperatures reaching 37.8C at Heathrow Airport in London.
The forecast for early August is also looking bright according to the Met Office, with another heatwave on the way.
Temperatures are predicted to climb throughout the week, hitting 25C on Thursday and a scorching 30C by Friday, which looks set to continue into the weekend.
The Met Office has predicted further “very warm weather, especially in the South East” next week.
