ALL trains have been stopped on a busy railway line after reports of a vulnerable person on the tracks.

All services are currently suspended between Hove and Lancing as a result of the incident.

A Southern Rail spokesman said: "Following reports of a vulnerable person on the railway between Hove and Lancing, we are currently unable to run between these stations.

"Services running through these stations will be subject to delay or cancellation."

Disruption was expected to last until 7.45pm, delaying trains between Brighton and Worthing.

At 7.14pm, a Southern Rail spokesman provided an update on the incident.

He said: "Following the emergency services dealing with an incident between Hove and Worthing, all lines will be reopened shortly

"Please allow extra time to complete your journey, as delays may occur whilst we work to get our trains back to their booked timetable."
