PARAMEDICS from the air ambulance landed at a city park following a serious crash on the A27.
The helicopter crew were seen landing at East Brighton Park this afternoon.
It follows the crash on the A27 at Lewes this morning, involving a lorry and a prison van.
Fire crews were called to the scene and rescued four people who were trapped in the vehicles in the aftermath of the crash.

The air ambulance landed at East Brighton Park. It is not yet known if any patients from the crash scene were transported.

Detective Inspector Sue Neilson from the Serious Collision Investigations Unit said: "This was a serious crash in which several people were injured and we are working to establish the full circumstances."
It is understood that there were three people in the prison van operated by security firm GeoAmey. All three sufered serious injuries, as did the lory driver.
Sussex Air Ambulance has been contacted for comment.
