NO NEW coronavirus cases or deaths were reported in Sussex yesterday.

The Government reported 816 new cases and eight deaths in the UK yesterday.

That brings the total number of infected to 311,461 since the pandemic began. The national death toll is 46,574.

But no new cases or hospital deaths were reported in Sussex.

In Brighton the number of cases remained at 824.

Meanwhile in West Sussex, the number of coronavirus patients stayed the same at 2,826. In East Sussex the total remained at 1,638.

NHS England reported no coronavirus-related deaths in Sussex hospitals yesterday.

The death toll at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust remains at 148. The last death at the trust was reported on July 12.

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust has reported 100 deaths during the pandemic. Its latest death was reported on August 2.

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust’s death toll remains at 260. It has not reported any deaths since July 15.

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust has reported 18 deaths in total. The last death at the trust came on June 3.

Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has reported 113 deaths in total, No deaths have been reported at the trust since June 7.
