A MAN was robbed for his mobile phone in a park by a hooded attacker.

The 29-year-old was set upon in Rosemead Park in Littlehampton at 11pm on Thursday.

He was punched several times and suffered injuries to his face before being taken to St Richards Hospital, Chichester.

Detective Constable Matt Ward said; “This was an isolated incident and does not appear to be linked to anything similar locally. If you were in or around Rosemead Park late on Thursday night and saw anything suspicious, or if you have any other information, please contact us.

Police say the suspect was a “dark skinned” man wearing dark clothing and a black hooded top and ran off towards Cornwall Road. Witnesses should call 101, and quote incident 1699 of 13/08.
