THIRTEEN new coronavirus cases were reported across Sussex yesterday.
Public Health England reported three new cases in Brighton and Hove, bringing the total number of cases in the city to 838.
Six new cases were reported in East Sussex.
The county has reported 1,671 infections so far.
West Sussex reported four new cases yesterday, bringing the total in the county to 2,864.
No deaths were reported in Sussex hospitals yesterday.
Nationally 812 new cases were reported, bringing the UK total to 321,098.
Public Health England reported 16 deaths in the UK yesterday.
The nation’s death toll now stands at 41,397.
The number of deaths recorded in Sussex hospitals stands at 639.
The last was reported on August 2 at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, where 100 people have died with the virus.
Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust has recorded 148 deaths.
Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, which also operates hospitals in Surrey, has reported 260.
Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust has reported 18.
The Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has reported 113.
