THIRTEEN new coronavirus cases have been reported across Sussex today.

Public Health England reported ten new cases in West Sussex.

That brings the total number of cases in the county to 2,882.

Two new cases were reported in East Sussex.

The county has reported 1,674 infections so far.

Brighton and Hove reported one new case yesterday.

So far, 842 cases have been reported in the city since the pandemic began.

No deaths were reported in Sussex hospitals yesterday, marking 19 days since the last coronavirus death in a Sussex hospital.

Nationally 1,033 new cases were reported, bringing the UK total to 323,313.

Public Health England reported two deaths in the UK yesterday.

The nation’s death toll now stands at 41,405.

The number of deaths recorded in Sussex hospitals stands at 639.

The last was reported on August 2 at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, where 100 people have died with the virus.

Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust has recorded 148 deaths.

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, which also operates hospitals in Surrey, has reported 260.

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust has reported 18.

The Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has reported 113.
