A 58-year-old man has gone missing from his home.
Sussex Police has issued an appeal for information after concerns were raised about Christopher Carter, who was last seen by his partner at 11.30pm yesterday.
Officers have carried out a search around his home at Hadlow Avenue in Eastbourne and places he was known to visit but said they are now concerned for his welfare.
Mr Carter's partner said she had last seen him when she went to bed yesterday and there appeared to be nothing wrong with him. When she got up at 5am today she discovered he had left their home, which was described as out of character.
Mr Carter has a heart condition and was not dressed for bad weather. He is white with a medium build and is balding with short white hair.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue t-shirt under a purple shirt and black trainers. He was not carrying any identification, had no phone and no money or means of obtaining any.
Anyone who has seen him or knows where he is should call 0845 6070999.
