A MAN appeared in court for assaulting two police officers.
Michael Weekes tried to resist arrest in Hailsham.
The 24-year-old then attacked PC David Seale and PC Jack Edwards during the incident in June.
At Brighton Magistrates’ Court Weekes, of Vicarage Road, Hailsham, admitted the attacks.
He was ordered to clean up his act with six-months’ alcohol dependency treatment and 100 hours of unpaid work.
Weekes must also pay £100 in compensation to each officer, along with a £90 surcharge and £85 costs.
